Babu Santa Beach Resort

There is this island located in the southern tip of Samal. It is named as Talicud Island. Talicud it is due to its location. It is rich in a way that photographers will surely absorb its’ richness through their lenses and so the divers may also dive into the alluring corals under the sea.

The island can be reached through a ferry boat from Sta. Ana pier in Davao City. The ride takes an hour and there is a scheduled route on each boat from the pier. Usually it leaves the pier every hour and a half. You may check on the schedule so you won’t be left out in case you plan to visit Talicud Island. From Talicud proper, you may ride a tricycle and enjoy the roller coaster ride from there to this very rich resort the “BabuSanta Beach Resort”.

One of Talicud Island’s beach resorts is the Babusanta Beach Resort. BABUSANTA comes from a native name “BABU” which means lady in muslim language and “SANTA” as in the giver Santa Claus. The story goes this way: there was this kind hearted woman from this place and she was also a generous one that’s why she was called BABUSANTA. This was the brief history why this place was called “babusanta”.

BabuSanta Beach Resort is usually the stopover for lunch or just when you wanted to do some necessities. According to some divers this is one great stop for a heavy meal on lunch. The white sand coral beach has crystal clear waters most especially during noon time. The beach has the ruins of a jetty that has been destroyed by a storm. And these remains are considered to be the photographer’s perfect spot for their classic photograph. BABUSANTA may appear ordinary but this is a perfect place for divers and swimmers. Also a good place for surfers as well.

BABUSANTA is located on the tip part of the island so, both sides of the resort have something great to offer. Going further on the left you will be able to see the home of the locals and some rocky terrain. On the opposite side are palm trees lining the sea shore and shallow water. It gives a rocky view for a nice picturesque on this side of the resort.

From the beautiful natural landscape of the resort, divers can move on to the coral garden and see for themselves the bounty of the marine life.
One thing that the guests will enjoy from this resort is its crystal clear water that you can just see the corals without using goggles or any other snorkeling gadgets. So I say you’ll save up thousands and just enjoy the marine life with your naked eye.

Babu Santa offers the sky, the white sand, the beach, and the wide surrounding for different type of guests – whether it’s for an adventurous tourist, romantic couples, or for the weary soul. You can either enjoy both the sun and the beach in a serene environment. This beach resort has rooms and cottages made in a simple design.
There are yet come from this resort. Surely they are to renovating their facilities for their guest’s convenience. Let me just inform you that the resort have limited electricity and sanitary water. So better be ready if you plan to visit this beach resort. Bring enough water and flashlights so you may not spoil your stay in there.
This place is ideal for real adventure seekers.
